To Whom It May Concern

Some days, I forget how far I’ve come.

I get so caught up in what I haven’t accomplished yet, what I still need to fix, and what I wish I could change.. that I don’t stop long enough to realize I’m growing. Not the loud kind of growth, the quiet kind.

The kind that happens when no one is watching. The kind that happens in private. The kind that happens when you’re learning yourself again, rebuilding your confidence, and trying to become someone you’re proud of.

So today, this is a letter to me… and maybe, to anyone who needs to hear it too.

Dear Me,

BREATHE.

You’ve made it through seasons that could’ve broken you. Seasons where you smiled in public but fought silent battles in private. Seasons where you weren’t sure what was next, but you kept going anyway.

That says something about you. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for.

You’ve been trying to hold yourself together while also becoming someone new. You’ve been navigating life with a soft heart and a mind that never stops thinking.

The world may try to convince you that being gentle is a weakness, but it’s not. Your heart is not a burden. Your emotions are not “too much.” They are proof that you care deeply, that you love honestly.

So many people are walking around pretending they have it all figured out, but the truth is, we’re all just doing our best. We’re all becoming. We’re all learning how to love, how to heal, how to grow, how to let go.

And you? You’re doing it beautifully.

Even when you overthink.
Even when you crave reassurance.
Even when you feel too much.
Even when you wonder if you’re asking for too much.
You’re not asking for too much. You’re asking for what you deserve.

You deserve love that feels safe.
You deserve peace that doesn’t come with anxiety.
You deserve friendships, relationships, and environments that don’t require you to shrink yourself just to be accepted.

But hear me clearly, you are allowed to choose yourself.

You’re allowed to walk away from what drains you.
You’re allowed to outgrow people, places, and versions of yourself.
You’re allowed to want more…

More consistency.
More happiness.
More purpose.
More love that feels steady, not confusing.

You’re human and you deserve grace.

Even if you’re not where you want to be yet, you are closer than you think. Growth is not loud. Sometimes it looks like resting. Sometimes it looks like letting go. Sometimes it looks like choosing peace over proving a point.

And if no one has told you lately, I’m proud of you.

For trying again.
For loving.
For healing out loud and in private.
For becoming the person you once needed.
You were meant to grow. Stop waiting for permission to believe in yourself.

Confidence isn’t something that suddenly appears one day. It’s something you practice. It’s something you build in the moments where you choose to keep going, even when you don’t feel ready.

But listen…
I know you have a habit of disappearing when life gets heavy.

You self-isolate when you’re overwhelmed.
You go quiet when you don’t know how to explain what you feel.
You retreat into yourself because it feels safer than being misunderstood.

I need you to remember this, isolation is not the same as peace. Taking space to breathe is healthy, but shutting the world out completely is how you start carrying everything alone.

You were never meant to handle life by yourself. You don’t have to disappear to heal. You don’t have to struggle in silence to be strong. You don’t have to wait until you’re “okay” to let people love you. Let yourself be supported.

There is strength in reaching out.
There is strength in being seen.
There is strength in allowing connection, even when your instinct is to pull away.
You are allowed to need people and you are allowed to come back.

Stop shrinking yourself in spaces you were meant to shine in.
Stop doubting your voice.
Stop underestimating your ability.
Stop treating your potential like it’s something small.

Your future is bigger than your fear. You have goals for a reason. That hunger inside you isn’t emptiness, its purpose.

You are learning discipline.
Learning focus.
Learning how to become consistent.
Learning how to pour into yourself the way you’ve poured into everyone else.

Success isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up again and again.
It’s about evolving.
It’s about choosing growth over comfort.

And yes, you will have moments of insecurity, but insecurity is not your identity. It is only a visitor.

One day, you will look back and realize that this was the season you stopped surviving and started building.

So keep showing up.
Keep evolving.
Keep healing.
Keep becoming.

The woman you want to be is already inside you.

With love, ALWAYS,

Dev 💜

To Anyone Reading This…

If you needed a reminder today,
You are not behind.
You are not too much.
You are not alone.

Keep going.
